Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for several years. In her early years, Sara was racially taunted by a lot of Americans. When she was in 9th grade she felt more confident when she was praised by her teachers for her performance at school's audition. The singer not only gained confidence from the experience, but she also changed plans for her career. She attended New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she was 23, she started her professional career, making her debut at the Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. The biggest achievement of her career was with her portrayal of The Lady Of The Lake in Spamalot's original Broadway production. Not only did she get the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by reviewers. Following that, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. A singer by profession and producer, she's produced a single as well as an extended work. Also, she's an activist and is a tireless advocate in the fight for LGBT rights.
