Annie Mist Thorisdottir comes from Reykjavik in Iceland. She runs and owns Crossfit Reykjavik in Iceland, in which she coaches athletes. Annie was the first woman ever to win CrossFit Games on two occasions. She came in second place in the 2010 CrossFit Games and the 2014 CrossFit Games. Annie Thorisdottir is an Icelanders weightlifter CrossFit champion and media celebrity. Her fame was boosted by her being the first woman to have won twice at the CrossFit Games, in 2011 as well as 2012 The other accomplishments she has achieved includes winning the Dubai Fitness competitions in 2013 and 2013. Annie was born in and brought up in Reykjavik Iceland along with her parents and siblings. As a fitness enthusiast since an early age, she took part in numerous school competitions and also won numerous awards. She first competed in CrossFit in California in the year 2009. She did well in her initial games. Annie Thorisdottir as of 2021, is aged 31. She stands at 5' 7" tall, and weighs about 67 kg. Annie began with her CrossFit journey in 2009 California. She was successful in her first competitions and finished with the top 10 in the rankings. She did not take home a championship and concluded the tournament in 11th place. In 2010 Annie finished 1st in European Regionals Qualifier. In the same year, under Jami's direction, she was awarded the gold medal at the CrossFit Games. In her second year of competition that she took part again in CrossFit Games. Due to her incredible performance she became the first female athlete to win CrossFit Games. Annie also won in the CrossFit Games in 2012 due to her exceptional performance. She was the first female athlete to be crowned the winner of two CrossFit Games at once. Additionally, in 2014, she won a silver medal and recently in 2021 won bronze in CrossFit Games. Annie is currently a coach and trainer at Crossfit Reykjavik. This gym was created by Annie. Annie has gained recognition for her athletic skills, is featured in ads for sports products such as Reebok Rogue Fitness Transparent Labs Nuun Hydration, Yerbae Renaissance Periodization Transparent Labs and others. There are a few thousand subscribers to her self-titled Youtube Channel, where training videos along with travel vlogs, family and training videos are shared.
